Acting as principle contractor Lite4life were commissioned to design, specify and deliver a revised way guidance and evacuation strategy.
The BBC commissioned and engaged with Lite4life on a pilot scheme to provide an innovative dynamic and compliant egress solution for their media café in Broadcasting House.
Our scope of works included:
-
Passive Fire Elements (fire doors & compartmentation)
-
Emergency Signage (active & passive)
-
Photoluminescent Way Guidance
The Media Café incorporates variable compartmentation (sliding walls) and therefore required a dynamic rather than static egress strategy that intelligently evolved with the spacial configuration.
Working collaboratively with the client and our diligently resourced specialist supply chain partners, we were able to deliver strategies that embraced innovation, exceeded guidance and ensured ‘future proof’ compliance for the facility.
